About
The website you are viewing is a portfolio website and blog used to discuss and present design and development of computer related projects. Boring? I–He hopes not!
The Author
Chris is a Computer Science student seeking to pursue a wide range of computer related interests. He has created work ranging from designing websites, to programming applications, to building robots, to level design. He may not be an artist, but he enjoys exploring and merging both the creative and technical aspects of computer science as much as possible.
Chris helped found Quate.net, a not-for-profit development team. Two semi-successful web-based projects have spawned from this work: a content management system that has been used in the local community, and a simple and flexible web statistics program. His work with Quate encompasses many jobs: content writing, website maintenance, documentation writing, providing support, providing services, project planning, and software programming.
History
Beginning his adventure at the awkward age of thirteen, Chris stumbled upon HTML and CSS and commenced designing simple websites. After a short time of annoyance with static pages, he experimented with PHP and later MySQL to create dynamically controllable web pages. HTML’s friends XHTML, XML, and Javascript later joined the party. It wasn’t long after when he helped found Quate.net. Then, together they fought dragons.
Upon questing, Chris picked up further programming languages and explored with a variety of projects. Currently, his primary focus rests with understanding game design mechanics and development.
Other Activities
Separate from college and computers, Chris enjoys theatre and scriptwriting.
